"After Moses was translated, the Lord directed Joshua to lead Israel into the promised land. The Lord assured Joshua that He would be with him and commanded him to be strong and courageous, keep the law of Moses, divide the land among the people, and study and meditate on the word of God continually. Joshua prepared the Israelites to cross the Jordan River and organized their departure. He sent two spies to Jericho.
