This game never fails to get everyone involved, having fun, and working on SM recognition.

Here is a game that was designed for a Christmas activity, but can easily be adapted for any time of year. In place of the Christmas stockings, use a container of some kind appropriate to your time or year or holiday. I provided some Old Testament clues, but you can also substitute object clues for other years.

Each team gets a chance to answer a question correctly. If they answer correctly, they can roll the dice and do what’s on the dice.

A variation on scripture chasing

A holiday twist on "The Wheel of Fortune"

Invite one or more adults to come in to represent Scripture Characters. Students will ask questions to figure out who the adults are being.

A Seminary version of "The Wheel of Fortune"

I put the questions into a "batter's box" and the batter had to come up and pick the question. Let them use scriptures, scripture mastery cards, etc. but they only had 30 seconds to answer.

They take turns saying how many words they can "Name that Scripture" in until they don't want to go any lower. Whoever goes lowest gets the clue.

Whoever has the answer from each team runs and sits in the highest numbered chair available.

A version of Pictionary

Based on information from the book "Pioneer Trivia, 1000 and One Questions to Try Your Pioneer Savvy," published by Pioneer Pride, Provo UT.

This is an adaptation of the commercial game, Wise and Otherwise.

A fun way to memorize scriptures.

When the answers to clues are answered, pictures of the boys or girls are "resurrected" one body part at a time. A reverse game of Hangman.

Once the scripture reference is found, the class will chose a number. Students will race to put the numbered item in a square on the floor.

As soon as a team has every member find the scripture, one person from that team can begin to shoot. Point are only given for baskets.

Allow each team the opportunity to solve the Scripture Mastery clue. When they correctly respond, they will have a chance to "Trick or Treat".

The two servers race against each other to find the correct scripture.  First one to find it serves. Then have fun playing volleyball.

Use this alternative to an auction for the students to spend seminary money they have earned all year.

Have your students create SM clues, and I, the teacher, have to find the proper reference.

This is a game to encourage those students who are trying to memorize the scriptures.
